August 2014- Celebrating Summer

Dear Friend

If a Garden Were a Wine

If a garden were a wine-
If a garden were a wine, it would wrap me up and feel cozy to be in.  It would welcome me into its world and cause me to sit and ponder, or read, and relax.  It would bring me peace.

It would inspire me to be a little crazy and adventuresome.  It would cause me to wander and create and think outside the box.
If a garden were a wine, it would foster spending time and developing relationships with loved ones or new friends.  Playing, eating, tending.

If a garden were a wine, it would tease my senses with its colors, and smells, and sounds.
It would encourage me to explore it over time as it changes and grows.    It would allow me to enjoy it as it matures and becomes more and more amazing.

If my garden were a wine, it would have the comfort of a Pinot Noir, the worldliness of a Chianti, the welcomeness of a buttery Chardonay.  If my garden were a wine, it would be adventuresome like a Malbec, earthy like a Cotes du Rhone, and as spontaneous as a bubbly Muscat.

Cheers to a wonderful Summer!  May you make the most of every minute left.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Dolecki-Smith, ASLA, RLA
